I was pretty much set up by the time I talk to Veterans United.
The process in the beginning was smooth and streamlined. Everyone was helpful and easy to talk to. The closing process, however, had some issues. I had to reach out multiple times with the same questions and double check the answers I was given. My closing numbers were wrong after having said multiple times that I wanted to put money down up front. This caused frustration on both the buyer and selling side. Everyone worked hard to correct the issues but it was not ideal and now requires more paperwork on the backside. Somehow communication broke down on multiple sides at multiple points in the closing portion.
We are very grateful for Trish Cole! She came in at time where everyone else we had tried had failed us. Therefore, we were really apprehensive about trying another company but once we met Trish she eased our fears. My husband is a retired Army Soldier, who suffers from P.T.S.D. and just about any episode can set him off. However, everything about our home buying process went smoothly. I love the fact that you have a secure portal to place all of your documents in versus putting it in an email. This is what sets Veterans United apart from the rest. Thank you Trish for assisting us with the purchase of our lifetime!

Overall the experience with Veterans United was very helpful. We really appreciate Emmett Rogers, our Loan Officer, for answering all of our questions and helping in any way he could and deserves a 10 by himself. Our Loan Coordinator, Landon Franklin, wasn’t the best at communicating and made us feel rushed to do things that ultimately could have ended up losing us money. There was a lot of miscommunication on his part and didn’t know if he had called us or not after we missed a call. We didn’t enjoy working with Landon due to that and also the fact that it seemed like he wasn’t sure of what he was doing, individually we would rate him a 2.
Veterans United made the home buying process for us first time home buyers very easy! They helped us with everything along the way, including setting us up with a realtor in the area we were looking in! They stayed on top of everything and made sure that we were prepared for everything along the way! I love how everything can be done online, the to-do list made things so much easier for me, being able to see what still needs to be done and what has been completed in such a user-friendly fashion. I don’t have any other company to compare them to, but we had such a great experience that I’m sure if we ever buy another home, Veteran’s United will have our business again!
