Working Veterans United team has by far exceeded our expectations when it came to buying our first house. They were quick, professional but concerned and caring. They kept the whole process moving forward in a timely fashion. We are still in shock how fast we became home owners!! Thank you Veterans United for helping us buy a home that we always dreamed of!!

Fantastic experience with Veteran United! I will recommend Nick and team to all my contacts.

At cl9sing cost time I paid taxes and it is my understanding as a disabled vet I am exempt ? So will that be reimbursed?

My team was excellent!

Easiest home buying process I have ever been through.

I would pay for a service that kept your paperwork in front of the line at each step.

We ran into a couple of problems last year when trying to buy a house..but Brian and his team walked us threw as to what to do and not do so that everything would go smoothly when I start the process again to buy a house. Now I can say we are home owners now. Great job Brian and your whole team.

Jordan was great to work with from start to end. Transparent and goes out of his way to earn my business. The loan coordinator was also a huge help as well! Would definitely recommend! Thank you for a smooth process!Tim & Dao

We had a great experience working with Veterans United. They were excellent every step of the way and very helpful and responsive.

Amazing from begging to end. They let you know the steps and what to do specially for first time
Buyers I would absolutely recommend.

Mike Patzius was completely unprofessional in the way he handled our loan. It appears he didn’t review any documents until 48 hours before closing then called me 1 day prior to closing and informed me I would need to come up with $4,000.00 more dollars for cash to close. Then when I finally had a post lined closing with the attorney’s I was informed there that I would need $200.00 more dollars. I have never in my life been treated more poorly and not kept in communication with prior to working with Veterans United. When I spoke to Brad who is allegedly Mike’s boss he couldn’t offer me any insight as to why just kept coming up with standard excuses like I would have to look into the file and typical bs to try to appease someone. $4,000.00 dollars to make up because of someone’s incompetence as a loan officer is disgraceful and I will be letting every home buying veteran to steer clear of Veterans United. Even the realtor and attorneys could not believe what had occurred so I wish it was just me being jerk but, it’s clearly not if people not involved saw it too. Mike and team did your company a great disservice in the eyes of not only the home buyer me but also everyone associated with the home buying process as well as every veteran homebuyer I come in contact with. Absolutely unacceptable. Do better.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Joseph,
I’m really sorry to hear how this experience played out. Last-minute surprises—especially when it comes to something as big as buying a home—can be incredibly stressful and frustrating. I can absolutely understand why you’d feel upset and unheard in the middle of it all.
I’d really like to take a closer look at what happened here, especially around those last-minute cash-to-close changes and the communication (or lack of) leading up to closing. That’s not how we want anyone to feel while working with us—especially not a Veteran or someone supporting one through the homebuying process.
If you’re open to it, I’d really appreciate the chance for my advocates to talk this through further and see what we can learn from your experience. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST Monday through Friday, but please reach out anytime.
These folks, Carma, Jessica, Morgan, Lauren. The whole team, they literally saved our lives. They gave us the opportunity to leave a dangerously run down home and into a new, healthy home where our family will thrive not just barely survive. They gave us a fighting chance to help my wife fight cancer in a healthy place.Veterans United, from start to finish worked with us every step of the way, and made the entire process so easy when we found our home we went from offer to close in just 3 1/2 weeks. Absolutely brilliant. From Morgan who helped us get out credit where it needed to Carma and Jessica who quick marched the loan process in short order, to Lauren who even when facing a tornado watch and shelter warning still tried to help us sort out moving issues, only relenting at my urging to go now, be safe. I mean this is it folks, this is what having veterans back is about, not nice sounding platitudes and empty gestures, but boots on the ground work and dedication.Veterans United SHOULD be 100% endorsed by the VA because I doubt anyone else could have made this miracle happen. We love you all for what you've done for our family. We wish each of you only the absolute best!

Dalton and his team were extremely knowledgeable and I would’ve of been able to get a home without their help
