Every branch of service is different in how they handle paperwork. For the Marine Corps, retirement orders are not issued until the retirement date. Your companys policy to provide retirement orders should be adjusted to reflect this or you could limit your customer base. I ended up providing at least four different documents proving I was retiring in lieu of orders. This could have been a deal-breaker for someone less patient, but was the only small issue I ran into during the entire process. You guys were great to work with.
The only thing I have to say right now is, I just can't wait till I move into my new house that I can call home.
