I would recommend them to any veteran looking to purchase a home.
After having mortgages with multiple companies I am now a repeat VU customer. The process and people the first time around was so good I came back the next time I needed a loan and it was still the same quality experience. Large loans are stressful enough without a pestering loan specialist. Veterans United understand the VA process and took most of the work out of my hands and put it in their own. I will never use a different mortgage company.
Stephen did great however I had several issues with The other worker. Many times they waited until day before scheduled closing to look at the paperwork to say that they needed something redone where I was forced to extend my lease with my apartment for the month

This wasn’t the best experience when there are so much competitors. This process wasn’t favored toward the veterans. It’s just use the veteran name for promotion. The communication is very poor. To be honest, I felt like if we were a different race, it would have gone smoother without all the questioning on how are we able to afford other paid properties. We provided income that was well over qualification standards.

The process appeared seamless until the very end. We felt there was some redlining. There was task after task added that wasn’t a requirement on the initial list. Some requirements did not even apply to the state of Maryland. There needs to be a fair and equal process across the board. Thank you.

The only delay in this process was not related to Veterans United and we are very appreciative of all of the help and kindness we received. We are very happy with our home and the VU team were there every step of the way and gave us any help we needed. All services were above and beyond.
