although i am very grateful for VUHL for getting us into our home, i feel that some of the steps need to be looked at in how they are executed. my most frustrating issue was AFTER we found a house that we liked and were very excited about, i was told i needed additional information that could have potentially had a negative impact on the getting loan. i felt that needing proof of 3 bills that show 12 months of on time payments should have be determined BEFORE we found a house instead of AFTER due to the fact had we not gotten that information, everybody involved time would have been wasted, to say nothing of the disappointment of the buyers knowing that they couldnt get the home that they looked for and wanted. the 2nd issue we had was at the 1st scheduled closing, 2 days prior to the actual closing date, some information was missed that in my opinion should have be found much earlier to have prevented the delay from the 1st attempt at closing. i do understand that the amount of paperwork and labor that goes into such an endeavor is exhausting and that these things can and do happen. my overall experience with the load process was very good and again i am very pleased that we were able to move into our home thanks to the VETERANS HOME UNITED LOANS.
I have bought several homes in my life. Working with Cole Simmons has been the best experience my wife and I have ever had! Cole was amazing!
Overall great service and wish u guys well and thank you very much for getting our home for us and making the process easy would not have done this without you guys. One thing that I would like to point out to make future veterans process a little more easier. Is to be specific as possible when asking for documents and as to what you want to see in writing from the persons and from who ether one person or both or multiple. Other than that you guys made the rest of the process great so thank you all.
The process was long and drawn out. Just when you think your done with paperwork think again. On several occasions I submitted paperwork only to have to resend it because the form was lost or misplaced. Save and print copies of everything.
Was able to lock my rate early, got good information about the loan process an Kai was awesome as was Shawn...

I've worked with three different lenders on three separate home purchases in the last several years. By far, I feel that VU was the best.
Thanks to everyone involved for going he extra mile for us to make this happen as smoothly as it went. I will not forget it.
I would recommend Veterans United because my LO and team worked tirelessly to get me through underwriting and closing.
Veterans United team made our home buying experience a very positive and easy process.
Keegan and Kelly Steeley were both awesome and made everything so easy.
Thank you for getting me a home
Veterans United is a great company and well thought out. I don't believe I have had an easier experience buying a home. They make sure they have most of everything they need in the beginning which makes the process go even smoother. They communicate well and always give a clear answer to anything I have asked them. They also do what they can to help save you money in the long run which is always great. I would recommend Veterans United to any veteran ready to purchase a home.
To all home buyers with Veteran's United,
I have not had an entirely positive experience with Veteran's United. I have bought 2 homes through this company. My first was FHA and my second was VA. My first experience was OK, but my second was very concerning. My advice to you is when you are given a loan officer, make sure you follow up on a daily basis. Ask questions about their experiences with home buyers. Ask if they dealt with any one like you and your family before. Make sure they know exactly what the VA, not Veteran's United, requires for approval through the VA. Some loan officers may be attentive and responsive, but they may not have the required knowledge to close your loan with efficiency and with integrity. It is very important for you and your loan officer to have accountability when mistakes are made or when the correct knowledge is not possessed. This will allow the issue to be resolved in a timely manner. Also, setting pride aside is very important. It is important to realize that no one is perfect and mistakes will be made, but to properly educate yourself before constructing contingencies and contracts. Tell your loan officer: If you do not have the right answer it is OK, but find the right answer. Work together to resolve issues, do not ridicule the other person because one does not hold themselves accountable for their own mistake.
I hope all of you have a good experience with Veteran's United. They have a lot of good people to help you through the process, but make sure you know your loan officer and supporting staff well before proceeding.

Veterans United made the home buying process extremely easy. Besides turning in the requested paperwork, Veterans United basically handled every other aspect of the process. It was very low-stress for what we had imagined it would be for buying a home.
We are first time home buyers and Veterans United made is so easy and seamless. We really enjoyed the process working with Josh and Dan. I would recommend them to any veteran I know looking to purchase a home. Thank you.
