Was not too happy with Veterans United's assistance with choosing Home Owners Insurance. I asked for options, and feel like I was directed to Travelers. No other options were given. (I would assume it's a commission thing) I will be switching soon.
The service provided by Brandon, Anthony and tayler was exceptional especially since we had a cat 5 hurricane interupt the closing.... best experience ever......

We needed more tips from realtor prior to sending the offer. We realized we could’ve offered a bit more to cover our closing fees. We had to take money from our savings account. It was too late when I realized what could’ve done.
Ms. Taylor and Sam were both patient enough to show us house properties between Suffolk and Chesapeake.
The seller also left the house a mess, but thanks to Ms. Sam Doty who tried to cleaned it prior to our arrival. We found more food in the drawers that was left by the seller. We understand we did our final walk thru but it was a conversation between our realtor and the seller’s realtor that he was gonna be fully moved out the next day, it wasn’t the case sadly. Hopefully this comment will be heard, nobody should be happy home owners to just find the home we worked so hard for trashed by the seller’s neglect and zero care.
I had a great experience with my loan officers, it started with Nicole branch then to Julia Koenig then to chris holdman.. all were great but Ms Julia stood up the most, her very communicative skills made the process less stress and smooth for us. Not everybody can understand the whole home buying especially for first time home owners but overall the whole team effort was great and made it very possible .. thank you!

Veterans United was excellent. I’d moved on from another lender due to knowledge and service issues so my service antennae were up.Gerrit was knowledgeable and did an excellent job of educating me and offering solutions. He always responded quickly and professionally. His entire team of Max, Andrea, and Kayla were very responsive, helpful, and friendly.The rate I received was competitive, the systems were organized, and things went smoothly. It was way less stressful of an experience than I thought it would be. I will definitely use Gerrit and his team again. Highly recommended.
