Well, I'm glad it's over. This process started in early September and ended in late December... Lots of ups and downs, excitement and despair, but it worked out admirably in the end. Our home buying team was responsive and and friendly. We had a great experience buying our first home and would recommend Veterans United to anyone.
This experience was more frustrating than getting my DD-214. It was all good until we got to the underwriters. Their lack of communication led to very last minute running around on a few occasions. They Google search places of employment phone numbers. When the Google search showed a different business. They did not bother to call and check. We closed on the house. I got the keys and got the moving company to start moving. They then called and said the loan can’t be delivered because they lacked info of my job. Thankfully we got the house but the headache they put us through right before Christmas was unnecessary had they done their job in the beginning. Unprofessional. Not only will I not recommend this company to anyone. But I will make it a point, no, my duty to tell everyone to stay away."
