My personal circumstances made the loan process difficult and we had an appraisal issue that, to my understanding was irregular. However we came dangerously close to losing our property. It seemed that I was required to be far more involved in the process then I should have been. Based on my research it seems unless you are buying a cookie cutter property you should not get a government loan. I would be fine with using veterans united for refinancing purposes but for a purchase loan the process was too stressful and uncertain.
