I was a little disappointed with my request for a re-appraisal. Appraiser did not use most recent comparables and I feel that my home was valued about 18.6 %, below current market. She explained that the VA suspended re-appraisal requests and there was no other solution. (BTW- I have experience in property valuation, both in my degree and running a small ($100K) mortgage portfolio in a community bank. I may be a little rusty, but still know the basics.) Maybe a review by the homeowner and appraiser, might be in order b/4 final appraisal is submitted.
Best experience in home buying. Always attentive and the consierge were always checking in to see how everything was going and offering their help.

I can't say enough good things about Veterans United. The process was easy to understand and I was able to do 99% the necessary items in the process virtually. All questions or issues were dealt with VERY quickly by my loan officer. I had a change to my rate at one point during the process because they LOWERED the original quoted rate, which was already a great rate! As if that wasn't enough, they sent my family a personalized gift which was such an unexpected, but pleasant surprise. Veterans United strives to go above and beyond to provide an amazing and personalized experience which focuses on the best interests of their customers. I HIGHLY recommend this company!
The Veterans United Team were great to work with. Make sure you are qualified for a certain amount and don't go over the amount. Prepare to go into it with a mortgage and budget so that the realtor can provide you with home price ranges. Be prepared if you did not get the home the first, second, or third time but keep looking. Make sure that you have capital on hand to allow any adjustments to your buying power and to work with your realtor closely. Get some recommendations when putting your offers.
