Being a Viet Vet (old guy), the online can get overwhelming at times. The ability to contact directly is a big help.
Dear Vet brothers and sisters, while this type of loan allows you to buy without downpayment, unless you choose to, there is a substantial fee paid to the Veterans Administration based on the amount you borrow. I financed my new home in New York for 300,000 and was charged a fee of 4,950 which came right off the top, along with New York's many taxes and closing costs. I want to be sure to let all know that this was in no way a fee charged by Vets United, and they did disclose the fee from the beginning. I would urge President Biden to look into this and maybe allocate extra funds for the VA. We all served, it' time for them to serve us!!
