Make sure you explore all options. Do not use Veterans United just because they are nice. Local lenders can definitely offer more incentives and WAY better rates. I got a 3.5 and probably could’ve gotten 2.5 if I had went local. I just didn’t want to do the prequalifcation process again since my score had already dropped so much from applying the first time.
