I am very pleased with everything
Had a horrible experience. Close was delayed because my team was unable to get paperwork required by the VA together in the over 6 months (!) they had to prepare everything.Ended up costing me an extra 8k because of concessions and cash I had to pay to my builder to prevent them from moving on to a new buyer because of how hot the Austin home market is.

Veteran United is awesome to work with. They have the best interest of the buyers at heart. Kyle is outstanding at his job. He leaves no questions unanswered.
Our only complaint is the reluctance on the part of the underwriter to accept the submitted documentation from us verifying us as "property tax free" as a disabled veteran in Texas. We have proven this tax free status with Veteran's United with 3 previous mortgages with Veteran's United and still provided proof that this mortgage will also be tax free. His reluctance has cost us dearly as it increased out mortgage payment by an access of $400 per month and we certainly did not appreciate the delay we will have to go through until all papers are filed and documented and I can submit further paperwork when the paperwork that was submitted was more than sufficient.
All said and done, I was treated in such a professional manner every step of the way, by Mr. Hamilton team of supporters, as well as the hard working Mrs. Taylor my real estate agent. I honestly enjoyed the experience.

In my opinion, Veterans United is an amazing company with outstanding, knowledgeable team members willing to make dreams into realities for military families. Before connecting with Veterans United I was told by a few other lenders that I would not be able to qualify on my own for a home loan. I was discouraged and defeated. Veterans United professionals changed my life with their service and commitment in assisting me to become a home owner.
At the end of the process VU and Stewart title could not seem to get on the same page for closing arrangements and because I was driving from so far away it made things very difficult and stressful. There could definitely be a nicer way to deal with closing for future homeowners.
