Overall it was a slightly unpleasant experience but Veterans United was more than willing to increase our loan amount when asked. There were many errors in closing costs that were never corrected and the congratulations email from our loan officer had another couples last name so you come to realize they are just pushing loans through as quickly as possible. Our "Brother Marine" recommended real estate agent was horrible. I would have been better off with a former NVA or Taliban commander as my real estate agent.

Poor experience. Was told I needed water quality testing to close the loan. Found out at closing the documents show underwriting telling Veterans United team it was not required. This testing and additionally purchased items cost me an an unnecessary $4,500 so No I don’t recommend.

What an incredible home-buying experience. From pre-approval to real estate agent matching to closing - everyone was extremely very professional and accommodating to our unique needs. We were faced with a military retirement, moving across county, AND selling a house of our own - all while during the worst part of 2020. Despite all of that, we couldn't have been happier with the response times, customer support, and ease-of-accessibility to online features. This truly made the home-buying process enjoyable. Absolutely Outstanding Customer Service through the entire process, start to finish. I stressed to the Loan Team I was under a tight timeline and they never relented to achieve it. In fact, they beat the proposed deadline by 1 full week! Veteran's United business model is absolutely something to be admired. I never once felt out of touch with what was going on which was important to me. I am a huge supporter of Veteran's United and find myself often times telling my friends, family and colleagues about the incredible service I received! Erica Haynes was absolutely phenomenal and has found her calling!! I came to Veteran's United with little to no credit. I was quickly sent to the "Credit Specialist Department" which I thought was a dead end for my loan. In complete contrast, the team helped me build credit fast to raise my scores to acceptable levels. Once back over to Erica's Team, I was treated with the upmost respect and was always engaged in the process. Under a tight 60 day timeline wasn't just a "me" issue; Erica and her Team jumped in as if it was theirs as well. I have never received better customer service in my life and when it involved the purchase of a home, there couldn't have been a more important time than now to go with Erica and Veteran's United. I highly recommend Erica and her Team to anyone financing a home. I can't think of anything that her and her team could have done any better to create a more wonderful experience!
