What happened happened the situation for me was very stressful but in the end I got the home and the loan so that's good. As a manger and former project engineer this is something easily fixed and and as this may be obvious I still offer my advise for future veterans sake.1. Communicate verbally and email to your customer your leaving for will not be able to communicate for whatever period of time.
2. Set up a plan for another licensed loan officer to take over in your absence. Have that person call customer to firm up the take over plan.
3. Never ever trust that someone else in your organization will manage your customer the way that you would or should. That being said make sure #1 nd 2 are done before and after you leave.

When asking about the staff you left out Sarah and Dawn. Sarah was one of my first initial contacts and I knew right then and there that I made the right choice in choosing Veterans United. If I had a question, she made sure I had an answer within minutes. Dawn, there are no words that would be enough to describe her and the help she provided. As well as all the other three people that I commented on, Dawn was the one I leaned on the most for answers. Dawn and I along with Evan, had just regular general conversations not related to mortgage. It was like we knew each other already.
