If you are a veteran looking to purchase a home, Veterans United is the place to go! The process is streamlined, the personnel are what you would hope, in every way, in the home purchasing experience. Their website is intuitive, secure and easy to use. It really helped me stay abreast of what was happening at each step of the home loan process. I can honestly say, I have no complaints at all. I would like to say a big thank you to Veterans United! What an outstanding organization in every way!

I do not recommend working with Veterans United. I had a complex loan file and was familiar with the VA loan guidelines per the VA Pamphlet 26-7. While I questioned my loan officer, Chris R, on the specific requirements for my loan, he blew me off and said my concerns were not an issue. At the closing table, the VU closing department halted us halfway through signing because he did not properly process our file. We nearly ended up homeless and out tens of thousands of dollars because of his choice to ignore my escalations. It took senior executive intervention to salvage the contract and closing and that was with ME providing them a detailed plan on how to close the loan properly and I am not a loan officer nor lending professional.
This is our second home buying experience in six years and we wish we could go back in time and buy our first house with Veteran United. OMG... VU has by far been the best experience when it comes to getting the financing for a home loan. Their User-Interface, Website, Portal are just top of the line. Their loan officers are more than competent and actually see applicants as people rather than statistics. The team assigned to you is responsive and caring. We definitely recommend Veterans United and will come back again in the future.
The entire experience was simple and straightforward. As long as you respond to any requests as quickly as possible the process doesn’t take long.
