From the beginning of the whole loan process I was told things from Kelly Myers that ended up changing after I was locked into contract. I was told by Kelly Myers that Veterans United had a promotion going on to either buy down your rate or I will get a credit at closing for using Veterans united as a lender and using the real estate company that they are partners with. When I was under contract and after I put down 3K earnest money I readdressed this and spoke with Mrs. Myers and requested the option of getting the money for closing since I was already locked into a good rate. She then told me that she misspoke and that the promotion is no longer valid so now I was stuck with an almost 10K closing cost and I could not back out now because I would lose my earnest money. Next issue at the beginning of this I stressed how imperative it is for me to close on December 15, 2020 because I am moving from Nevada and Mrs. Myers said that wouldnt be a problem because there was more than enough time(over 45 days) November 16, 2020 I spoke with Kelly myers and she instructed me to pay for my Appraisal and I did that immediately. She dropped the ball with getting the appraisal ordered. I called on December 7, 2020 spoke with Mrs Myers and I asked if my appraisal was ordered and she said no because she could not get the agent to respond to her email because she needed the builders number to order the appraisal; my realtor had this information and she could of requested that information from her and she could of like I asked her followed up with a phone call to the agent of the subdivision or communicated again with me or the realtor to get this information. So the ball was dropped and my closing date was pushed back from December 15, 2020- December 21, 2020. I had to speak with my landlord to beg her if i can stay longer, i had to have my movers from Nevada push back the delivery date, and I had to call at&t and adt to reschedule services being installed, some of these items resulting in me having to pay fees due to changes. 3rd issue at the beginning of this I was told my closing cost besides my earnest money off 3K it would be an additional $4682; literally a week before closing Mrs Myers sent me a new Closing cost disclosure almost double the amount. I immediately called and couldnt get a hold of Mrs myers even left several messages, so I called and spoke to her supervisor and explained the whole situation and he apologized for me having such a bad experience and after conducting his research he noticed she forgot to add additional line items that significantly increased the closing cost ie HOA fees. Then on closing day December 21, 2020 me and the realtor were both at closing trying to track Mrs. Myers down because she sent a document the day of closing that needed to be completed but the issue wan't with that the issue was the loan was not released to be funded and I couldnt close with a federal release number, me and the realtor called countless times to try and get a hold of her and spent literally 4 hours at the closing office until I finally decided to call and spoke with a Manager in the wire transfer department and it took an hour but he was able to get me the number to give to the attorney so we can close. This whole experience has been a nightmare and this is my 3rd time purchasing a house and never have i witnessed anything like I have before. Mrs Myers is a nice person but she needs a lot of training and she should not be going disappearing on clients especially on the day of closing.
