Throughout the entire home purchase process, Veterans United was quick to respond to any questions and was constantly ahead of the other three lenders I had applications with. There were a few hurdles in the final stages of the purchase: I don't believe any of the other lenders could have met the deadlines like Veterans United did.

We would not recommend Veterans if you are moving from out of state or are on a strict timeline. Even though I called or emailed every other day during the last month before our closing to make sure everything was on schedule, they still delayed the closing by 5 days due to the paperwork not being ready. They did compensate us, but we were still out several hundred dollars. They need to train their underwriters and assistants to pay attention to the details and double-check everything before contacting the client. They caused undue added stress when it was not necessary.

Took a lot longer than expected.
The entire Veterans United staff is extremely helpful and professional. This is our second time using Veterans United and will continue to do so for all of our mortgage needs. Every step of the way was smooth and seamless. Communication was regular and no detail was missed. This was an excellent experience and I highly recommend Veterans United!!
I have purchased several homes using a V.A loan in the past. They were real headaches. This time the process was easier on line. I just checked my ‘To Do’ list twice a day. I never had more than three tasks at a time, which kept things manageable. This will probably be my last house to purchase, but if I ever do decide to purchase another house it will definitely be with Veteran’s United.
