I had been working hard on increasing credit and still felt that being a homeowner was going to be impossible. We had even downsized to a small trailer to help save money but then our youngest son ended up having to stay at his grandfather's house. It seemed like we were stuck in a never ending loop of rent payments to live in a home that not only wasn't ours but wasn't big enough for the whole family. I truly don't know what I would have done without Veterans United. They helped guide me every step of the way from credit advice to closing day. I'm so happy and proud to say now me and my family have a home and we're all together again.

Honestly, I started this process extremely sceptically. I've always been taught - and learned - that no one has your best interest at heart like you do. I haven't changed my mind on that, but it's softened a little considering the effort the teams at veterans united and the realtor's they recommended were willing to go for me

I never heard of Veterans United but I'm glad I learned about them at a time when so much was going wrong in my life. I've learned a lot and have already recommended VU to other Service Member thinking about buying their first home. One of the best features is the To Do List and videos explaining the documents I needed to sign. I also did some research on my home but they these features on the app was definitely needed to put one's mind at ease
Maybe its common sense, it would be helpful to new homeowners if there was a checklist for turning over utilities so that way there is no lapse.
