After conducting our own research with who to go with, my wife and I decided to go with Veterans United. We made our choice after viewing all the positive reviews from their past clients. The whole process felt like a breeze. Their efficiency, determination and timeliness was nothing short of amazing! I highly recommend Veteran's United.I'm very proud to say I am a Veteran Home Owner because of their Amazing team!

We did not have a good experience with Veterans United home loans. It is unfortunate because we initially were working with a loan officer in Washington who was great but our plans changed and we were re-locating to the Mississippi area and had to have a new loan officer assigned to us. I will say not all of the fault lies on Veterans United and our loan officer/team, however, there were multiple instances of miscommunication between the lending team to my spouse, myself, and our realtor that made the experience extremely unpleasant, delayed, and stressful. At one point we even requested to be switched to a different loan officer due to the miscommunication but we were so close to our closing date that they said it would cause a delay. We agreed to continue with our current loan officer only if communication improved, we were cc'ed on every email, and communication was clear between our realtor and the lending team. This did not occur even after the discussion and our closing was delayed regardless of staying with the team and the situation only got worse. We requested to speak to a manager 3 x times during the process but were not given a contact until we had already reached out to client advocates. I can say that after we did speak to client advocates the process seemed to improve, however, we were already past our closing date and delaying travel dates from WA to MS due to the delay in closing. After speaking with the client advocate, the final documents were able to be pushed through for a rush final loan approval. We did appreciate the quick effort and push the team made at the very end to get the closing finalized. Overall, this house buying experience was very stressful, poorly managed, and caused us delay in closing, travel times, and even required us to re-schedule flights for our family member who helped us move.

Response from Veterans United

Mychael, thank you for your commitment and hard work during the loan process. We realize that communication needed to be improved, and we appreciate your willingness to work alongside the Client Advocate team. Your feedback is valuable, and our teams will use this feedback as they continuously work to deliver expectations.

The best way I can express my experience is try it. I can promise you if you get a team like I had they will go far above and beyond to get you into a home. The rating scale went to ten as the highest i wish it would have been 110. That would have been my choice. Being an older couple who were first time home buyers, my wife and I were a bundle of nerves with no clue where to even start. From that first call on a Sunday evening to 5 weeks later at our closing, our lending team not only led us through step by step they reassured us each step of the way, returning calls, text, day or night. This is one time since my retirement from the US Army I was not let down as a Veteran. Thank you Veterans United for the chance to start the next exciting chapter in our lives.

Just wish they be upfront with closing cost with my last va loan it was included in the loan. My last home I paid 215,000 asking price was 230,000. There was no extra fee or bumping up interest rates or price for it to be covered.

Response from Veterans United

Hello Megan, we learn the most when we listen to customers and improve the home buying experience. We realize that every situation is unique, and we have steps in place to outline costs early and often. We are sorry that you felt this aspect could have been handled better, and we are available to discuss this with you if you would like to contact our Client Advocate team.

I would recommend Veterans United to any veteran who needs a home refinance to have money to do work on your home or pay Bill's. We were impressed with their professionalism and willingness to work with us to get the loan completed quickly. They set closing sooner than we expected and everything was done in the allotted time.

WOW! I thought buying a home was a hard and tedious process. Veterans United and their team of specialist walked me through the entire experience. As a veteran I was treated with the utmost respect. I viewed realtors and loan officers as vultures, only wanting your money. Kendra, Luke and Jake quickly vanquished that thought. The team held my hand and every time I became nervous they were there to reassure me. I experienced a problem with my taxes and the they worked all day to correct the problem. I had to do a little bit of running around, but it was fun being a part of the team. I would recommend Veterans United to any Veteran looking to buy a home.

I would recommend Veterans United for all veterans. From the first time homebuyers seminar to the day I got my house keys, everythyng was explain to me step by step. I was able to close in little time and there was no surprises. Shawn, his team and the recommended experts made this process really simple. As a first time home buyer, I heard all kinds of rumors about the homebuying process but Veterans United were always there to clarify my questions. Thank you Shawn, Janice, Jaime and everybody involved in my homebuying experience.

Compared to my last purchase, I would say this was by far the easiest home purchase ever. My team worked so hard, and were amazing through the whole process. They were ON TOP OF EVERYTHING! They could not have done a better job! Highly recommend them! And should I ever need to purchase again I will gladly and with out hesitation, be using Veterans United.

Our initial home loan was with Veteran’s United and we came away with a great experience. Our streamline refinance was handled with the same high level of professionalism and courtesy. I could not speak any higher of them.

Veterans United did an outstanding job with my home loan. From start to finish they were always there for me should I have any questions. Because they were always available to answer the phone when I called (or returned calls very quickly), both Kris Carmichael and Kathy Monnig made me feel like I was their ONLY client, even though I'm sure they had multiple clients going through the same process. I would definitely recommend VU to anyone who is looking for a home loan! Thanks Veterans United!
