I enjoyed my experience with my VU team! I would definitely use them again!

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. To our team, Nick Holman, Courney Gully, Francie Greene, and their supporting team members, thank you for everything! We can't say thank you enough. My wife, Valencia Long, and I now own our home!!!

Being a first time homebuyer, the process was very nerve wrecking. Cole and the team helped answer questions even during odd hours which helped a lot.

The communication, or lack of, was very frustrating. We weren't made aware that we had to schedule certain things, like our appraisal. Fortunately the sellers were willing to wait but even then, there was no communication from veteran's united. Personally if I had to do it all again, I would find someone locally to handle my VA loan benefits and not go through it again. So to recommend veteran's united to a friend or family member is not something we would do. I have already spead the word to my veteran friends and family members.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Nicholas,
I’m sorry to hear how frustrating your experience was, especially with the lack of communication and not being made aware of steps like scheduling your appraisal. Even though the sellers were willing to wait, I understand that the process still caused unnecessary stress, and that’s not the experience we want for our borrowers.
I know you’ve chosen not to recommend us, but I’d still like the chance to review your loan file and see exactly what happened. If you’re willing, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and will respond the next business day if you contact us outside those hours.

From start to finish … they were there for the awesome moments and even the grueling ones. Exceptional!! Would recommend every.single.time to every.single.person!

This is the third home I've bought and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. There was little to no communication and then things needed to be gotten to them last minute. We almost didn't close on time. The underwriter took a vacation mid deal and left us with no contact info for the new loan underwriter. The loan officer was not in any hurry to do anything and was horrible at communicating. No follow up what so ever.

Hi Jared,
I’m truly sorry to hear this was the most difficult of your three homebuying experiences. I understand how frustrating it is to deal with poor communication, last-minute requests, and not knowing who to contact when your underwriter was away. Nearly missing your closing date only adds to that stress, and I know that’s not the process you expected or deserved.
I’d like the chance for my team to review your loan file so we can understand what happened and address your concerns directly. Please reach out to us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and if you contact us outside those hours, we’ll get back to you the next business day.

Good morning! I could not feel any MORE GRATEFUL, EXCITED, or VALUED than I do following my experience with Chris Lunn and his team. It first, started with Anna Lower in counseling me in the steps to fix any blemishes credit wise. Having her support and guidance really has changed my financial habits and broken a cycle that I took from my parents. Chris, Cooper, Gabby, Walter and Colby took it from there and really made me feel like they were buying this property with me. It goes beyond professionalism. They always kept in touch and I felt like I was talking to someone that I knew and I felt like I was heard and that they were genuine in dealing with me as a person. Huge marks for your HR staff as well for assembling the staff that Veterans United have. There is no other answer than Veterans United when someone asks me who would I seek out for their home purchase needs. Thank you so much for what this means to me and my family!

Working with Veterans United as a whole was a great experience. The entire process was seamless and their app and website are extremely user friendly and help with the process of moving through the loan process.

Sam and Nancy were great, thank you!

Communication is none existent missed out on first time home buyers then the first time we closed got a call 30 minutes prior to closing saying that we couldn’t close because someone didn’t do their job
Response from Veterans United
Hi Milas,
I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. Missing out on a first-time homebuyer benefit and then having your closing delayed at the very last minute would be incredibly frustrating, especially after all the effort it takes to get to that point. I understand how much this would shake your confidence in the process, and I’d like to review your file so we can better understand what went wrong.
If you’re open to talking, you can reach my team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, and if you contact us outside those hours, we’ll get back to you the next business day.

What can I say other than how impressed I was and am with how your whole team basically took me by the hand in a process as nerve wracking as this and leading me through it all step by step to a very satisfying end. You have my thanks and gratitude. If it were possible I would recommend Arron for a promotion. He truly deserves it.
