This was a very intense process. Veterans United met my needs, but I haven't heard from anyone since I closed. I called last week to inquire about my payment schedule because it was not included in my paperwork. Luckily, a woman from the Settlement company called me this morning and confirmed that the information was missing from my file and that I should call someone from Veterans United. My rating would have been a 10 if there had been some follow-up.

Too many spoons in the pot. It took me a minute to figure out all the people I had to answer to.
If you are not tech suave, grab a trusted friend and get help negotiating all the forms by Veterans United and the affiliates.

Very easy and straightforward process! Highly recommend for any veterans trying to purchase a home.

When i 1st reached out to ask about a loan he made it so easy. Made me feel like family.
He stayed on top of things and didnt let me fall back on getting things done.
Was always there to answer my questions.

The team did a great job being organized and ensuring we knew what was needed for documents and overall information

This is my third home loan through Veterans United. The team I've worked with has been outstanding every time. They make the process very simple with the To Do check list and document upload page. They were always quick to respond with answers to questions.

Everyone was on top of everything and keeping us on track with timelines.

Outstanding 100% support from the start to final closure.

Seriously outstanding is an understatement.

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. To our team, Nick Holman, Courney Gully, Francie Greene, and their supporting team members, thank you for everything! We can't say thank you enough. My wife, Valencia Long, and I now own our home!!!

The app made it easy to accomplish all the requirements as they came down the line. Great team, easy process!

Our original experience with VU was exceptional. We felt the refinance started out the same way, but kind of fell off. We were originally told our loan would close in 10 days, we finally closed with only days to spare.
Communication during the refinance was not as dynamic as before. We just felt "forgtte" once the process began, maybe we just fell through the cracks.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Donald,
Thank you for sharing this. I’m really glad your first experience with us felt strong, and I’m sorry the refinance didn’t feel the same. When you’re told things should move quickly and then the timeline stretches with quieter communication, it’s easy to feel like you slipped through the cracks. I can understand why that left you disappointed, especially after trusting us before.
I’d really like my folks to have the chance to look into what happened and make sure your feedback is fully reviewed. If you’re open to it, you can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. My team is in the office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and if you reach out after hours we’ll typically follow up the next business day.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience. I’m here if you’d like to talk more about it.
