Instead of being told no like we were several times in the past with other lenders, vets United Went above and Beyond and put us in contact with our credit consultant Charlie. He told us exactly what we needed to do in order to get our credit where it needed to be and within no time we were ready to talk to our loan officer! Darin was amazing And also went above and beyond to get us preapproved and helped us through the entire loan process. Morgan was our Loan coordinator and she was absolutely amazing! She answered every single one of our questions on a day-to-day basis And made this entire process smooth and very stress free! Kohlie was Our concierge she was very informative and very friendly! I initially started my loan process with Veterans United Home Loans but made the mistake of switching to Navy Federal Credit Union halfway through because they offered a lower rate I could lock in—huge mistake.
My closing was delayed twice, and just two days before the third scheduled closing, I was STILL being asked for documents I had already submitted multiple times. At that point, it was clear the process was completely disorganized and another delay was inevitable.
I withdrew my application immediately and went back to Veterans United—and that decision saved my entire homebuying process. Mr. Shawn Hall and Mr. Anthony Perrigo took over and had me clear to close in just ONE WEEK, with an even better interest rate.
The difference was night and day. Veterans United was efficient, responsive, and professional from start to finish—everything NFCU was not during my experience.
