An outstanding crew who listen to concerns and share their knowledge.

Team worked extremely hard and helped every step of the way i am now in my forever home amd so happy

From start to finish my loan team was amazing! I am sitting in my home right now and this wouldn’t have happened as fast as it did without them. My finances were not in the best shape, but they worked really hard to make it happen. I will recommend them to anyone and everyone that mentions needing a home loan.

Great service and always prompt about answering questions

This is a top notch company. Entire process went smoother than expected and I am so happy and appreciative of all the people did for me.

Veterans United overall provides you the resources and direction for success in purchasing a home loan.

As a career Military Officer, I’ve made close to 20 moves into a property, and that many out as well. Several of those included real estate transactions. Working with Veterans United was the best of any prior home-buying experience. I would strongly recommend Veterans United to anyone.

This was all new to me and you guys made it as easy as possible for me to follow the steps and stat informed, always willing to answer any questions.

I would absolutely without a doubt recommend Veterans United to anyone who asks. This was our third time buying through VU and it was seamless every time.

Jackie our realtor saved the day for us 🙌

Amy and Cole were great! Very supportive, knowledgeable, and helped me throught he highs and lows of my first home buying experience.

Smooth as butter

Listen. If you are serious about owning a home, Veterans United is definitely a preferred option, in my opinion. The steps it took to purchasing our home was frustrating to say the least. In my wife and I case, we were purchasing from our landlord, so a realtor wasn't necessary. However, gathering the necessary documents, coordinating with the different agencies like appraisals, home inspections, insurance, title company, and loads of paperwork, signatures, and questions are still very much a part of the process. Our team, Nick Holman, Courtney Gully, Francie Greene, and the rest of their supporting members were there from the first phone until the closing on our home. They fielded every question, listened to all of our frustration, guided us through the whole process step by step, and we're encouraging, patient, professional, and, most of all, very polite, friendly, and engaging whenever we were in contact with them. I mean they kept in touch by phone, text, and email. Even sent us mail. Who does that in this technology age? Seriously, they were the best team my wife and I could ask for in communicating with us and our landlord to make this dream a reality!! I highly recommend Veterans United to anyone who’s reading this review, or anyone who asks is this company for real. To our team, Nick Holman, Courney Gully, Francie Greene, and their supporting team members, thank you for everything! We can't say thank you enough. My wife, Valencia Long, and I now own our home!!!

Amazing and easy process. They do all of the work and you simply need to follow prompts and complete tasks as necessary. Great group to work with.

Wonderful job and great support from David and Matt. Thanks UV.

Negative Review of Veterans United Home Loans
Veterans United Home Loans is a well-known lender specializing in VA loans, but my experience with them was far from positive. From the outset, the process felt unnecessarily complicated and communication was inconsistent. The loan officers seemed overwhelmed and were slow to respond to my questions, often leaving me waiting days for simple updates or clarification.
One of the most frustrating aspects was the lack of transparency regarding fees and required documentation. I was repeatedly asked to provide the same documents, and each time, new requirements seemed to appear out of nowhere. This not only delayed the process but also made me feel like the company was disorganized and not respectful of my time.
Additionally, the promised closing timeline was not met. Despite assurances that everything was on track, my closing was delayed multiple times with little explanation. This caused a great deal of stress and forced me to make last-minute arrangements, costing me both time and money. It has been almost Two months since closing. I was told over a month ago that I was owed another $1,000. This mortgage company has had terrible customer service from the beginning. Many of the items that should have been coordinated with my loan broker should have been completed by them, but I never heard from them during the whole process. I had to call them, and then they were very vague and unhelpful. I think their people are working on too many projects. Do not expect customer service. Especially after closing, once they get their money, you will not hear from them, even though you have no idea if they followed through. One thing is for sure, they get paid.
Overall, I expected much more from a company that advertises itself as a leader in serving veterans. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Veterans United Home Loans to others seeking a smooth and professional home loan process. Especially if you are a disabled veteran and have a hard time doing what is necessary.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Patrick,
I’m really sorry to hear how difficult this entire process felt for you. What you described around the communication gaps, repeated requests, unclear expectations, and the trouble getting timely updates is not the experience I want anyone to have, especially during something as important as buying a home. You should have felt supported and informed from the start, and I can understand how frustrating it must have been when things felt disorganized and you weren’t getting the clarity you needed.
I’m also sorry to hear how the closing timeline shifted and how you were left making last-minute adjustments because of delays that weren’t clearly explained. That kind of uncertainty is stressful on its own, and the lack of follow-through afterward only added to your frustration. Feeling like you had to chase down answers or wonder whether things were handled correctly after closing isn’t acceptable, and I appreciate you being candid about what this was like from your side.
I’d really like the chance to look into everything you mentioned so we can understand what happened and address your concerns directly. If you’re open to connecting, you can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. I’m here Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and I’ll do everything I can to help get you some clarity.
