several issues make my review choices what they are:
1. While Max did respond to my emails, the issues with consistent contact, and a lack of listening to what I need and want from the loan team.
2. When you are working in timelines, don't tell time and then expect veterans to not hold you to that timeline. You are working with people who were trained mistakes cost lives
3. Numbers, you know the general list of numbers, take out the changing variable or let the veteran know that this one line of costs is subject to change for that item.
4. TIMELINE, again with this one you are going to be held to that time

I would recommend it because it was a pretty easy experience to get started. I am sure most people have a pretty good experience and I feel like my situation is an outlier. That being said; I feel like my loan was woefully mishandled by someone during this process. I was made to wait several weeks for an appraisal that should never have taken so long. The loan team became nearly mute during this process - I had a lot of difficulty getting a hold of them when I needed to know what was going on.During my closing day, the loan team indicated to me via email that my documents were ready and I could sign the paperwork to close. Instead of that - I waited around at the title company for about 4 hours until I finally gave up on waiting for them to send the documents that I had previously been informed were already ready. I felt so disrespected during this time because I not only had to skip my morning class to wait around for nothing. I then was forced to skip BOTH of my afternoon classes in order to sign the documents once they were finally ready. I have never seen such blatant disregard for my time coming from a company that is supposed to be veteran friendly.Additionally, as if I hadn't suffered enough - the appraiser for the VA was scheduled to return on Friday, November 15th. We had scheduled the loan to fund on that day - I called every member of my loan team to get an update on if the appraisal report was in; nobody answered their phone. Finally, at 2:14 PM I was called by someone I have never spoken with before and informed that my loan team wasn't in the office today and by the way the appraisal report wasn't in yet and you're not going to be getting into your home today.This entire process went smoothly in the beginning and turned into an absolute nightmare after the appraisal was ordered. I am severely disappointed with how my file was handled at the end and I genuinely hope no prospective veteran homeowner has to experience the anxiety, stress, and discomfort that I went through in order to purchase my home.

Nick, we're very sorry about the troubles you experienced with the VA appraisal process. The appraisal process is overseen by the VA, but we do our best to prepare Veterans for issues that may arise. Our goal is to remove as much stress for our Veterans as possible, and we're sorry we weren't able to do that for you. Our Client Advocate team will be researching your appraisal process to find ways we could have better prepared you for closing.

The process was really straightforward with the use of your website to upload documents. What was frustrating was having to send the same documents multiple times during the underwriting process. Sometimes our underwriting team would ask for a document that we provided within days of its upload and they would have to go back and update the system as if they were overlooking what we provided. As and active duty member I found it frustrating having to upload 4 LES stubs over an 8 month time period.
