I was very pissed off that anyone at Veterans United was doing me a favor with the high administrative costs attached to the loan. I shopped three lenders. Unfortunately, I dd not get the numbers in time to back out. Otherwise, I would have gone to another lender. However, Katy had been very patient with me and I felt somewhat obligated to follow through. Without Katy, I definitely would have gone elsewhere. I do feel ripped off and I'm not sure I'm going to get over it anytime soon. But no one cares anymore. These words will go straight into file "R" file for refuse. You should probably keep Katy very happy.
I have been through the mortgage process once before, not using a veteran loan and not working with Veteran's United and it was very difficult, confusing, and we almost didn't close on time. This time around was such an awesome experience. My mortgage team was in touch with me regularly and answered all of my questions right away. I was never confused or unsure of the next steps.
