I would say to fellow veterans, take your time, choose your home wisely and it would be best to buy a home where the seller is already moved out. This can cause additional issues and unsanitary areas by rushing out at the last minute.
All I can say is keep up the good work and continue to reach out to the veterans. I thought I would never be able to buy a house. My issues were personal in nature. That of a self loathing, unsuccessful, and doubtful of the future kind. By buying a home, it has completely turned around. It's still new to me but everytime I come home, I can't help but smile. OMG!!! The experience I had with Veterans United and my Loan officer Mr. Steve was an amazing experience. From the time I got pre-approved to my closing date I never felt I was alone in the process.
