Our new home is by far the biggest purchase of our lives, but with the helpful guidance of our loan specialists I had zero questions or concerns on closing day. From a detailed breakdown of what each dollar was for to helping me find a good home owners insurance policy I am very impressed with the extent of help that I
recieved. Thanks to the professionals at Veterans United my family and I made this purchase without any second guesses and minimal stress.
We had a great team. Very helpful for which made the process smooth.

Expect the process to be emotional. It will work out in the end. Provide the requested paperwork immediately and remain in touch with your LO to ensure all questions are met. Expect the process to take 45-60 days and remain patient.
I wasn’t in the market for a home when a house that I simply adore came up for sale. I went to the open house and just knew I had to own this home. Not having enough money saved for a down payment I thought it was out of my reach. Knowing I qualified for a VA home loan I did some research online and found Veterans United, and since no down payment is required I thought I would see if they could help me. They were quick to get me pre-qualified for a home loan. The actual process for the loan was a little time consuming, since I am self-employed (a lot more paper work) but Veterans United knew what was required and helped me by making the process easy. The best way to describe my loan experience with Veterans United is; Knowledgeable, Professional, Prompt, Fast, and Friendly. I expected the loan process to take several months but Veterans United had me approved in just 5 short weeks, and I am sure that if I wasn't self-employed it would have been sooner. Thanks to Veterans United I now own my dream home.
Excellent work by Shannon Workman and his team.
Overall a good experience. My loan officer, the person gathering information for the underwriting, and the real estate agent assigned to me by Vets United, did their job expeditiously to help me purchase my home in a timely manner! Good job!
Couple of things that needs some improvement:
1. Hard to get a hold of loan officer and the underwriter person on the phone!
2. I was told that I would need around $300 to $500 for closing, even after adding my closing cost to my loan, with my interest rate being increased a bit as a result, but yet just a couple days before closing, I was told by my loan officer that I had to pay a little over $800! That was an extremely disappointing unexpected news, just a couple of days before closing, and especially considering the fact that I had closing cost already added to my loan with interest rate being raised by .25 as a result, and yet I still had to pay additional over $800 at closing?!?! How does this happen???
If you are looking to purchase a home I highly recommend Veterans United. They are very skilled and knowledgeable on how the process works.
