I live in Michigan. When I started my endeavor in looking for a home and utilizing my VA benefits., I was told by several people to use a local lender and by doing so the process would be easier. Veterans United (VU) is based out of state. So when I contacted VU and left a message that I was interested in buying a home Chrystal Franks contacted me immediately. She explained the process, walked me through steps needed, and and gave me clear and concise instructions. She set me me up with My veterans United Account portal I order to sumit documents. Chrystal gave me her email and cell phone number in case I had any questions. When I left message she responded promptly, even on the weekends and when she was off work. I have never received that type attention and professionalism from a customer service organization. And I mean never! When she was off work she left me in the hands of her manager Taylor. He helped me out tremendously on my closing date. He was awesome! The bottom line is this. I would recommend Veterans United to any of my brothers and sisters in the Military.You will not be disappointed with this lender. Lastly. patience, guidance, tone and delivery is everything. Chrystal and Taylor have graciously mastered these areas. An experience that I will never forget. Go with Veterans United!Bruce

Mason did not sing as if he knew what he was doing. He would confuse us but trying to explain information and he would also leave information out. We would find out from our realtor and then a realtor would have to tell us. Not Mason. Also when we were having issues with getting the house that we wanted and we were ready to give up, Mason told our realtor that if they want to give up on the house then we can go ahead and do it. Instead of encouraging us and being supportive he was ready to let us let everything go. There are several other issues that we experience but we will never recommend Mason. We will tell people about Veterans United but tell them not to get Mason. He was a total disappointment the second time around. We thought that if we came back to him we would get the same good customer service however returning customers do not get the same treatment. It was a horrible experience and we never will go back to Veterans United again. I would like to add however Nathan was actually better he made our experience much better towards the end.

I have heard so many complaints about this part of the homebuying process, but this most definitely was not one of those stories. Veterans United Home Loans took something that so many people dread and turned it into an extremely positive experience for me. Veterans United was the first and only loan servicer that I contacted, and I am so happy with my experience that I do not intend to search elsewhere for my next real estate purchase either, whenever that may be. I was in search of a VA Home Loan to purchase my first home, and I was directed to Veterans United through the Zillow app after answering a brief questionnaire about myself. A Loan Specialist, Kevin Redmond, was the first person that I spoke to. He briefly interviewed me to see what I was interested in and what I may be qualified for while pulling a credit inquiry for me. I was then later connected with my Loan Officer, Jess Vomund. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole process and was both willing and able to answer any question that I sent her way. The Transaction Officer, Heather Risenhoover, became my main contact point throughout most of the process, and she was great to work with and very helpful, as well. Jess, Heather, and Kevin were excellent to work with and had me taken care of throughout the whole process. All of our correspondence was either over the phone or through email, as the team is located in Missouri, but I am in Montana. I have never met Jess or her team in person, yet I felt very connected and cared for throughout the process. Their customer service in combination with the ease of doing everything online through the website made this whole thing a breeze for me. The website, email notifications, and to-do list feature were extremely helpful and easy to understand and use. I received multiple different education documents throughout the process, and the team was able to respond quickly to any questions that I had. This was especially nice for me with being a first-time homebuyer. I was so happy with the customer service experience that I had with this team that I did not feel I even needed to search elsewhere for my VA Home Loan. I even received some thank you and housewarming gifts from the team that were completely unexpected, and I really appreciated that. I look forward to working with Jess and her team in the future whenever I decide to make my next real estate purchase, and I plan to direct any and all of my friends and family that are interested in buying a home to this team.
You'll be spared the run-around re phone menus that don't put one through to an authority, and you'll be spared website frustration that leads nowhere.
The team that worked with me for my refinancing was extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable with Katie Rose and Patty Kelly. They helped me so much during this process.
There is no need to go any further than Veterans United. When the other company continued to give us excuses and reasons, this never happened with VU. Immediate responses by us, the buyer, allowed for the entire process to go barely over a month.
Veterans United is the way to go. I couldn't have been any more satisfied.
