My rating is not a ten for Garrett Holzum but the survey did have an 20

Kim and Danielle seemed to be making a concerted effort to keep me in the loop about where we were in the process, and helped alleviate any concerns that I had. They also did a good job of responding to my repeated phone calls, texts, and emails promptly and courteously. I would highly recommend Veterans United, and especially Kim to anyone who wants to buy a new home.
Lisa was also a pleasure to work with. She was thorough and responsive to all questions and activities requested. She and Harris make a good team.
I would recommend asking for ALL documents up front, instead of requesting additional documents throughout the process. For example, Verification of Rent forms and Verification of Employment forms should be sent out right at the time of the pre-qualification. Also, please get a specific person when sending such forms, otherwise email requests go into the spam filter.
The only issue I had was at times I had to repeatedly go to office depot to wet sign and fax paperwork when it could've been all done at once. Other than that the team I had was outstanding.
He never explained the VA loan charges and the cost of zero down versus 5%. When we told him we were thinking of changing the mortgage value down he didn't indicate anything about it affecting the close. He didn't tell me to get the additional earnest money wired so that the loan could go back to the underwriter. In general I needed to rely on his skills to drive your internal processes and things didn't go well.
I will recommend and use this company again!
The courtesy, knowledge of procedures, and supportive attitude were greatly appreciated by Maria and me.
