I didn't know what to expect using Veterans United but I must say my overall experience was a good one. I wish I would have gotten a solid estimate of my closing cost sooner but, other than that, everything was pretty smooth and virtually stress free.

When going on vacation, please passdown all information to you back-up so that clients are not waiting for the last minute to get there closing total.

Also, inform clients in advance, that that will need to pay the lawyers with a cashier's check at closing

Clare Darnell was an outstanding agent to work with. From the moment I first let her know what I was interested in, she went right to work and NAILED it! She really listened to what was important to me and my family, and went above and beyond to locate the perfect house. Couldn't ask for a better deal estate agent!

When it got down to crunch time seemed to be more helpful not saying it was their fault but had all info for 6 weeks and still was late at closing seemed to be gone a lot when I tried emailing or calling some of the time they were gone for the day a lot. Moving should be an exciting time but this was very stressful on me and my family

From the time I found your website and applied, Melissa Gray my realestae agent that, was suggested to me through Veterans United, was very accomodating to my schedule and knowledgeable in her field of expetise, that we actually found our dream house, after only 10 looks at houses.Her preparation was outstanding and she is very enjoyable to be around, making the house hunting experience extremly enjoyable. Garrett Holzum, in the military, the highest compliment you could get for your work performance was a "Bravo Zulu" and this goes to Garrett and Sammantha, because without them, I believe my family and I, would not be residing in our dream house today. Thank you all.

I would suggest the following:

- Have some sort of list or directory of realtors who are familiar with the whole process of a VA loan.

-Notify the buyer of all documents that will be needed at least a week a head of time to ensure there are no delays come time for closing.

Jeremy went above and beyond with my loan. When there was a problem with the VA loan process he kept me in the loop and kept in touch with the VA at all steps in the process. He was an exceptional loan officer and I will recommend he to every veteran I know who is looking to buy a house.

The customer service was great and the company truly catered towards my housing needs. One area I did find slight reservations with, however, was the electronic document system. I had to try out 5 different computers before I was able to open the electronic document system.

Mike & his crew were great to work with. But particular kudos goes to Shannon, my main contact thru-out this long, mostly paperwork-generating* ordeal. She kept things light-hearted from start to finish....not an easy task when dealing with an old curmudgeon like me. And, while I did not interact much with Mike's other two cohorts, the little I did confer with them was positive and upbuilding.

In summary, thanx for the great job, team! I couldn't have done it without you! Ha!

*I was begining to think that, unlike prior mortgage deals, this one wouldn't be complete until the weight of the paperwork equaled the weight of the house under contract.
