There really ought to be a single approval. The pre-approval is not actually a pre-approval, and it doesn't even involve an estimate. An estimate should be provided based on initial information provided by the potential borrower. Thereafter, if the potential borrower desires to pursue a loan, the loan process should proceed to completion prior to any offer on a house. There is absolutely no need for people to make an offer on a house only to wonder whether or not they will actually be approved for the amount they need to cover that offer. The whole process is simply broken from beginning to end, and it is truly misleading to provide a "pre-approval" which is really no such thing.
Tyson and Kendall mirrored the qualities and characteristics displayed by Jon Beahan. It was/is obvious that the company and the team pride themselves on customer service. The quality of service we received is a testament of the characteristics of these fine men. All three men took the time to attend to the "little things," they kept all of the commitments that they made to us, they made sure to always clarify expectations, and constantly showed personal integrity.
Don Hammarskjold once said, "It is more noble to give yourself completely to one individual than to labor diligently for the salvation of the masses." My wife and I truly felt that Jon and his team devoted themselves completely to ensuring that my family was able to move into our dream home. We could not be more pleased!
The process was the worst I have endured. After having a company that walked me through the costs and ensured communication was maintained, this company did the exact opposite. Paperwork was not sent to the current address, information was not explained, I received notice of the amount I needed to bring to closing at 4:30pm on Friday for an 8am closing on Monday morning and I received the final loan documentation from the realtor the night before the closing. When I voiced my concerns then I was handled and told I should have voiced my concerns earlier instead of the situation being resolved to the satisfaction of both parties.
As a veteran I do expect that the process be explained, that the documentation be sent to the current address instead of to a house that was sold (the company was notified of this information) and expecting someone to find a cashier's check in a new town over a weekend was unacceptable. The company was paid and I have my house, but the process of getting here was not acceptable. The company stating it is dedicated to veterans is not an accurate statement.

Great support and assistance throughout the loan process.
Just continue to put Veterans first.
Many say You and your staff mean it.
Real estate agent (Jackie Smith) did an outstanding job. She listed to what we would tell her and made us informed on items which we expressed concern without trying to pressure us. Good job Jackie.
Real estate agent is not applicable. However the appraiser that was used ended up messing up a lot on things and we closed like two weeks late. I would not recommend that appraiser to anyone....
I have already referred a couple of people to you..and absolutely will do more of the same.....Thank you guys for making this long process more pleasant............
I am Truly Blessed !!! The Right People helped me find The Right House for Me & My Family !!!
Thirty days from "Earnest Money" to "Close" ... In July !!! Can it Get Any Better???????
Many Thanks From All Us'ns to all Y'ALL !!!!!!!!
Will and Lauren were excellent. After doing research I was hesitant to move forward because of hearing the horror stories but VU totally exceeded my expectations. I recommended promotions for them both.
i appreciate the fact that this process was so easy after i had heard about how applying for a VA backed home loan can be a tiresome process. Garrett made this experience seemless and I have already refered him to other Soldiers that I work with.
I think the teamwork between Alex and Gloria was tremendous. They were very diligent in catering to my concerns, and both were very accessible. Whenever I had a question, it was usually answered within 24 hours top.
Would recommend Rob and Brian to anyone. They provided me with the best loan experience ever.
I'd like to start my congratulating the veterans united family for helping me achieve my goal of becoming a homeowner. As a single female disabled veteran, I couldn't imagine that could be a reality for me. Since the first phone call until closing day everyone made me feel confident about the process. I started with the Lighthouse Program because I didn't qualify initially and it is from that moment on that veterans United became a beacon of hope. Thank you David Bruns, at the Lighthouse Program and Leanna Moss, loan officers, class act professionals respectively. Caring and commited to us veterans.
On my next home purchase I will be using veterans again.
