John Parker and his team were great. They made the entire process of buying a house seem easy. Anyone out there reading this who is lost and confused about the VA loan process and buying a house in general - contact John Parker. He can answer all your questions, give you the information you need to make your decision, and never pressure you to move forward or take action unless you’re comfortable in doing so. I just bought my first house and Veteran’s United was prepared to close within 25 days from the date of my offer being accepted. I don’t have any previous experience to compare to what it was like working with John, but I’ve heard the home buying nightmare stories from friends and in online posts. Take any of those terrible experiences with trying to use a VA loan, turn it around 180, and that’s how my experience was. It’s Parker’ Law - anything that can go right, WILL go right (assuming that “anything” is something John and his team have control of). 5 stars, 10/10, smiley face emoji, and all that. If you’re thinking about buying a house, contact John Parker. You’ll thank yourself later for doing it.
The only thing I really didn’t like was the appraisal process. It was expensive, handled by a third party, ( which I understand ). However, due to the potential closing date on the contract, the appraisal company didn’t get it done right away. Once they were made aware that we were going to be clear to close at a sooner date they got it done. The third party is to blame not Veterans United. They should have pushed it out as soon as they received the request.
