I have purchased and refinanced numerous homes in my lifetime. My only recommendation is don't try to refinance your home during a hurricane!! We ran into some delays with our closing due to Hurricane Florence but everything worked out in the end.

Other lenders would just encourage me to either get VA or conventional loan, while Veterans United would explain difference in interest rates and down payments between VA, FHA and conventional loan.

My husband and I were trying to get a loan from another mortgage lender, but we wanted a second opinion as the process was not smooth and the customer service was lacking. We were told we needed more income so we thought we'd have to put another family member on the loan. I called Veterans United and we were approved same day without needing a cosigner! And we bought a foreclosure! We are first time home buyers and this process was just so smooth and painless. I really appreciate our lender, Bo Clapp, and his excellent customer service skills.
