Overall great organization and I had a wonderful team. If anybody I know is looking to buy a home, I'll definitely be recommending these folks. My loan specialist was wonderful, always positively motivated and more than helpful! She gave me notice on upcoming items and kept me up to date on the throughout the entire process as well. My seller requested a shortened sale time and despite the time crunch these folks put in the extra hours to ensure we still closed on schedule. Outstanding job!
As people who have constantly worked with VA loans consistently, there seemed to be a lot of information that they did not know. I provided more than enough information to them in a timely manner, but I did not receive the same in return. There are enough stressors, when buying a home and this should not have been one of them. Again, my closing was a complete nightmare. The numbers were all wrong and because the realtor had to explain information to the company, there was a great delay. Also, some of the information that was requested was redundant. For example, when paperwork is completed through finance there is no way of giving an exact time when allotments start. Another example, when I paid for the appraisal and submitted the documents and sent it through email, on closing they were about to charge me for it. They also charged me too much money for taxes, although the taxes had been paid by the buyers. There was a lot of information that your people should have known, but didn't. At the end, I was very disappointed.
Although the process is complex, thru the use of technology to expedite the completion of forms makes the effort less time consuming. The team of individuals with Veterans United are always available. One complaint I've had of other agencies is the lack of communication and that's not an issue here. I highly recommend Veterans United...
The home selling and/or buying experience can be quite stressful. Having a good Realtor Agent, and Strong, friendly and professional Lending Team we believe, is the only way to keep the stress to a manageable level. Any number of Agents and Lending Organizations can take on the home selling process. To do it well is another story. Veterans United made everything as easy as it can possibly be. Their online system is fully functional even on phones and easy to use. Though they discourage submission of documents through email, they will accept them. Whatever way works for you, email, upload, mail, or drop off, E-signing available on most things, text, call, or come in for help. They let you do things your way. No scams (yes, I am a contract reader.) and I didn't even have to physically be there for closing! I am a first time homeowner, and they were there to help me every step of the way including the celebration at the end. (They sent us a little housewarming gift, but I won't spoil what it was!)
