After this entire process as a first time home buyer at the age of 35. I thought it was extremely stressful especially for my specific purchase which was unique. I don't preach the veteran status very much at all. But the $3,600 VA shouldnt be there. I believe as a veteran you earned the right of a VA home loan and the program shouldn't be looking for money again from the veteran. I paid for it with my service and my money that first year.Also the closing costs total was over 14k dollars. That's a lot of money . I don't know if that's standard around the country or with a VA loan but that is just not right in my mind. But I will say this. I was a little unique and early for my time because I had just rebuilt my credit score and veterans united and Joey got me into my house when I probably would have had to wait another 6 months to a year. And he worked dam hard for me. There was some communication break downs in my process, but I can't say for sure where to point the finger. Again Joey gave it to me straight and the lighting house program helped me for 8 months to clear my credit report to all me to put a offer on a house and then buy it.
