This was about as stress free as a typically stressful process can get. Veterans United should be commended for a system that makes processing a mortgage application very smooth and intuitive for it's customers.
The only reason I did not give a higher score is the inability to obtain an unconditional committment earlier.
Our loan team went above and beyond to make sure everything was done correctly and in a timely matter; if for some reason we didn't understand anything they would explain it until we did understand; my husband thought that we could only use the VA loan one time; that is not the case at all; I was amazed at how easy the process was;
Took days to hear back from them and they screwed up the paperwork at closing. Also the VA requires the seller to pay for pest inspection no matter what and I had to pay out of my negotiated closing costs due to the sellers not completing contracted work on the property. But veterans united said it wasn’t how it worked. Bullshit. They don’t care about vets and just want our money. I wouldn’t let any vet I know use them. Ryan Peterson was great though he just has to follow the fucked up system there at veterans we don’t really give a shit United.

This is my second time using Veterans United, they make the whole loan process fairly painless
My loan officer would never answer my calls. I would have to call them 10-15 times before I could get ahold of them. My loan officer and his team faught with my real estate agent via email and cc'd me in the emails so I was always getting angry emails back and forth. I was never updated in any sort of a timely fashion. During the whole process all my loan officer did was fight with my real estate agent and act like children and it was very exhausting. Overall it wasn't a pleasant experience.
This was our 4th home purchase and by far had the fastest turn around time. Jarod and Kim were fantastic to work with. I was kept informed throughout the whole process and couldn’t be happier.
