The use of UBEs, needs to be strongly revamped, as some major areas of this deduction on a person's income tax return should Not be counted against their debt to income ratio. After what I went through, I went to several places for comparisons versus veterans united, and my actual debt to income was nowhere near were your organization had me placed at. Plus, you Need to have Tax Professionals on hand to explain what is what, and how it actually works, so that you don't place someone unnecessarily out of range in purchasing a home. My tax team looked at your process, and even listened in on a call I placed about the UBE use, and they were all rolling their eyes and shaking their heads in disbelief at the lack of Veterans United's understanding of various aspects of this area.
The only frustrating part was having to repeat some of the paperwork. Still not sure why we needed to send some of the documents more than once.
