I specifically told my team that this was all new to me since this was my first purchase. I was assured that I would have someone guide me through the process. I only got contacted when I didn't go and figure out how to complete tasks without any help. And even then, it was just a simple, "you have tasks to do." My realtor did almost no work when it came to searching for a house and even did the final walkthrough without me (I didn't know that was not normal since I HAVEN'T DONE THIS BEFORE).
As much as I wanted to go with Navy Federal Credit Union for my mortgage, the constant communication and speed of responses from Veterans United gave me more confidence that they would be able to get my loan closed on time with little friction. A+

Every step was detailed and explained in ways we could understand. The patience, understanding, and commitment was/is so amazing. Cara kept us on track for the underwriter and Jimmy kept the ball rolling in the same efficient manner when Cara was not available. Alicia got our Homeowners insurance in line and patiently kept making necessary changes as we needed them.
