This being our first home ever (yes, at our age...), we did not know what to do or expect. We were guided by you all every step of the way. Our concierge (Casie) got us connected and on track for this process. She also hooked us up with our realtor. Tyler (our loan officer) got involved immediately and worked on our preapproval. Every step was detailed and explained in ways we could understand. The patience, understanding, and commitment was/is so amazing. Cara kept us on track for the underwriter and Jimmy kept the ball rolling in the same efficient manner when Cara was not available. Alicia got our Homeowners insurance in line and patiently kept making necessary changes as we needed them. We successfully closed on July 25th, 2022!Tyler (our loan officer) has gone out of his way to make our dream come true. He helped us overcome obstacles which could have destroyed our dream from becoming a reality. We will never forget him or his team!We tell you all this so you can get an idea from the buyers/our perspective. I worked with Marie Houchen and Evan Weaver, and they were great—always professional and quick to reply. They stayed in touch with my realtor, who also spoke highly of them.The dashboard helped me keep track of everything and let me know right away when I needed to act or send paperwork. I signed all the documents online with DocuSign from my home computer. The only time we met anyone in person was to sign the closing papers at the title company, which took about 30 minutes.This is the fourth house I’ve bought in 25 years, and it’s never been this easy. VA United made one of the most stressful things you can do, besides boot camp, feel simple. I highly recommend VA United to any veterans looking to buy a home.
