Will be recommending Veteran's United to ALL of our military friends.
This company admires the service of the veteran & desires to assist the veteran & his family into the home of their choice, with unwavering service.
The first part seemed great, they sad they could get me a VA loan with nothing down and a great rate. I explained that I had never applied for a VA loan and was not sure I was eligible. They said if I was in the military I was eligible. Unconvinced, I told the VU representative that we were in the market for a second home and that our primary residence would continue to be our current residence in another state. The VU rep said that was not a problem and that we would still be eligible for the VA loan. I was skeptical and applied with a second mortgage company to get preapproved for a conventional loan before searching for a house. Both VU(Veterans United) and the other lender came back almost immediately after checking our credit and income with approvals. We began the house search and the process continued. Almost on a weekly basis new requirements came up from the underwriters resulting in many hours of research and distractions from the house hunting task. After several weeks of home searching and seemingly endless requests for IRS transcripts and bank statements and IRA statements and a copy of my DD214, we were informed, as I suspected all along, we were told that we were not eligible for the VA loan and would have to go conventional. At that point, I was ready to switch to the other lender but my wife and our real estate agent convinced me to stick with VU instead of starting midstream with the second lender.
Best lenders we went with. We were working with an awesome loan specialist that helped us throughout the process in a timely manner, but he had a family emergency around closing time, so we got transferred to another loan specialist that wasn't that great. Everything was pretty much good to go for closing and we encountered a hiccup towards the end that made our closing time a week late.
Jose made the whole process very painless. He treated you like a very special person. This how people should treat others at all the time... Thank you Jose
The whole team was compassionate, understanding and always returned my calls and emails, answered all my questions honestly. Overall best experience.
None
Bad communication skills/customer service from Aimee Hall. disorganization with documents we sent. We were repeatedly asked for documents we had already sent. Aimee did not return calls, or emails, until we had sent several over a few days. The delay of our closing we feel is primarily due to Aimee Hall's inefficiency, The whole experience was frustrating, demeaning, and horrible. So glad it is over. The seller was equally upset. Aimee has a high opinion of herself, that is not warranted.
Excellent Service
Great service. Timely and professional
I love working with veterans united. They know exactly how to treat people and how to equip their clients so that there are no surprises through the whole process.
