I was trying to choose between VU and USAA for my home loan. USAA would have gotten me a little bit lower interest rate for my loan, but from my first interactions with both departments, I was impressed with VU well over USAA, and knew I wouldn't have any issues that I couldn't easily and quickly get a hold of someone to resolve.
Mr. Andrew Strubel and his team members were truly AWESOME. Thank God for their professionalism which really made our days a whole lot less stressful.

Complete lack of understanding for the process of buying a house. Zero compassion for the fact they have somebody's life in their hands. Tried to make up for the issue too little too late.

Our decision to work with Veterans United was simply the best due to our personal loan specialist Jimmy Stranz with the help of Josh Carlyon and Ashley Black, or as we call them "The Dream Team"!! From the very beginning we had constant contact with everyone through emails and phone calls and never felt that we were bothering them, which was very comforting when you are moving half way across the country and are already feeling isolated.

The last 2 weeks prior to closing were a nightmare. We had a family member that was very ill, and we made it clear to VU that we needed everything to be completed on time and even more urgent if possible, as we needed to go out of town and see them prior to their death. It was as if telling them that made them made mistakes, cause unnecessary delays, and refuse to communicate with us.
The loan specialists, and other personnel, at Veterans United are complete professionals. They are completely knowledgeable about the home-buying process and help you understand everything as they guide you through the process. They are willing to go the extra mile to help get the information needed to get your loan through all phases. My loan specialist, Colin Park, made phone calls to the county courthouse in my home town to find out who I needed to talk to and where to go to get the documents needed to clear my credit reports. WHO DOES THAT!!! I am completely satisfied with the loan that I got, the realtor they referred to me and the home that I eventually purchased. My life is so much better now!
While most of the time folks were nice, there were times it seemed that we were left waiting for answers too long. Days would go by and we would not know what was going on.
