I have had such an amazing experience ! My team assisted me with the preapproval process by making suggestions on how I can increase my score. Once I was where I needed to be the rest of my team hit the ground running. Found my home and they had me in that home by day 33. It's my first home buying experience so naturally I had a ton of questions, my team answered promptly and with such grace and respect that allowed me to feel safe enough to come to them with anything. They kept me in the loop every step of the way, they communicated with my agent to also ensure she was also informed. I started my journey with Veterans United Home Loans 8 months ago. I threw them curveballs all along the way . They always stepped up to the plate with 110% effort and knocked it out of the park.
I started out with Victoria McGhee in early Aug 2025 inquiring about a home loan to have a house built. She sent me all the info I needed and followed up on the progress of the home.
Victoria Elliot worked my loan preapproval and kept me informed of required items to keep the process going.
Lisa Williams took care of all the necessary steps to send my loan to the underwriters. Also keeping me informed on the steps required to make it through the process.In Feb 2026 I threw another curve ball at the VU team due to the deal with my building contractor fell through and I was changing course to buy a new home just being completed by a different builder.
Victoria Elliot kept me up to date with check ins very regularly. She went out on maternity leave in Feb and handed me over to Tommy Heller.
Tommy aggressively worked on my loan to save me money on my final closing costs. What other Home Loan company does that?! He was always there when ever I called with questions and kept me on track. .
The whole VU Team was awesome in every aspect of what they do but I will have to put Tommy in as my MVP.
Victoria Bell was my concierge and gave me all the behind-the-scenes info you don’t think about, but is very important to getting in to your new home.With the awesome team at Veterans United Home Loans, I was able to make my home purchase possible and closed at the end of Mar 2026..

I was caught at a surprise when I was told that a virtual POA would not be accepted. In fact it was in a few days before my actual closing that I was told I needed a wet signature POA. I feel there was lack of communication with rocket closing and Veterans united.
