Very scattered in not knowing what is needed & when, several duplicated requests and poor follow through. the fees charged were ridiculous. Closing costs kept changing & paperwork delivered day b4 closing and then again after closing - not happy!

Roller coaster of emotions involved. From happiness and excitement, to frustration and disappointment, and eventually the joy of closing the loan. I imagine our experience is not the average, though. We had some issues that made things complicated.
From their initial welcome packet and our talk with our loan specialist in person, V.U. gave us a good idea of the process and details necessary to complete a VA loan application. They were helpful, courteous, and prompt.
We have gone through the VA loan process several years ago on our first home with a different lender than VU. The other lender had no clue how to smoothly execute a VA loan. VU however made the process smooth, streamlined, and stress free.
Things that seemed standard were last minute and it would have been nice to be informed what was happening when things were done.
