Overall, the whole team was nothing short of absolutely amazing! The team was amazing because they turned an almost financial traumatic experience into an exciting, fulfilled experience! The dilemma my wife and I presented to the team was USAA decided, two days prior to closing, that they were not going to honor the pre-approved loan they gave us.The impact of this decision meant that the $5000.00 out-of-pocket escrow money we gave to the title company would be forfeited because we exceeded the 10-day pull-out time allowed for a refund. Obviously, we were emotionally obliterated because we were blind-sided and we purposely sought out a pre-approved loan prior to making an offer to prevent this type of thing happening and to show good faith to the seller. Nevertheless, here we were and what if anything could we do to make this right; that's where this awesome team of Veterans United professionals came in and saved the day! They were literally like super Heros and Shero's!It started off with my wife making a last-ditch effort phone call, at approximately 10pm EST, to Veterans United to see if they could assist us with this problem and Ms Lauren answered the phone and took immediate action! Even though it was after business hours in both states, Lauren didn't let that get in the way and started taking down our information while reassuring us that everything was going to be ok because you know our emotions were over-the-top. To prevent making a long story longer, Lauren pushed our application to Tim and the team (apologize for not naming all of the team members) with a short suspense of getting everything approved for closing in less than a week. Ultimately, as I mentioned above, thanks to this All-star team not only did they get us the loan approval in an exceptional time, but they also saved us a heap of closing funds as well; in fact, we end up receiving money back at the end of closing.
The home buying process is a crazy one! As my first time buying a home i had a lot of nerves (and a lot ofnquestions). Everyone on my team made me feel reassured and kept me going when it all got to be a little too overwhelming
