Probably the worst home buying experience I have been through. Rates aren't horrible. I think they could have been a little better. The communication started off with unnecessary texts just throwing things out there with no bearing on the process. I asked for those to stop and they did. The other part of communication was not always being clear on what was needed. And don't dare try to fix something on your own or you'll spend more time and money getting it cleared. If I would have been told exactly what was needed on remediation items listed instead of this needs fixed, It would have gone a lot smoother and a little less stressful. Maybe it's the VA loan requirements or maybe not. Either way when I buy another home, I'll use someone else.

I'm really sorry to hear about your experience-- it sounds like the communication didn't live up to what we strive for, and that's not okay. Homebuying is stressful enough without added frustrations like unclear instructions or unnecessary texts. I can understand how that would make things more difficult and stressful.

Its also disappointing to hear that you felt the remediation process could have been smoother, We know the VA loan requirements can be a bit complex, and we aim to guide out borrowers through them as clearly as possible. I'm sorry we didn't do a better job of that in your case.

I heard some not so pleasant experiences from other prior to using VU yet over the few years I worked with a variety of people, I had not one person that was unprofessional. Best part for me was I was completely blind and unknowledgeable to the home buying process yet everyone took their time to make sure I was educated on my options. I was never pressured and never felt as though anyone on the team was unreachable at any moment. They truly do work for you to ease the pain and in 26 short days I was able to close successfully on my first home. Thank you all and I highly recommend the team I had to any veteran looking to purchase.
