Ted and Caleb got us to closing exceptionally quickly. Both of them were very upfront about the expected timeline, and both graciously handled heavy pressure from a real estate team who had less realistic goals for closing on a VA mortgage. Ted went out of his way in explaining the process so we knew what to expect from the beginning. Ted and Caleb were both incredibly helpful and easy to stay in contact with, so much so that we could have believed our mortgage was the only one they were dealing with. Bottom line: We are moving into our new home in record (VA) time!
Everyone was very professional and helpful in this transaction. I hope everyone has the same positive experience that we did. Thank you all for the help.
At this point, I have a lot to say about what I observed in dealing Veterans United. I got no sense of control or process from application through closing. There was an error in an important tax document at closing that was an issue during the application process that was corrected once but ended up wrong on the closing documents. That is just one example of poor human performance that I observed.
I would like to pen a letter but at this time, I do not have the time to draft a document. Please provide me the name and mailing address of the appropriate Executive Vice President to send a letter to. The letter may not be mailed for weeks, as I am performing my own 400 mile move. Rest assured that I have some things to say. This survey form is not the instrument that I want to use for this purpose.
The only reason that I rated Nick a 4 was that the closing did come off on time. That rating should be viewed more as reflection on the team supporting Nick.
Veterans United has some serious Process and Human Performance problems that need to be addressed.

"Great customer service. Eris was super helpful with everything."
She didn't do her job at any point, didn't think should have gotten any pay because she didn't do anything. Had a open house and didn't show up but yet she get paid, plus she didn't find my new home.
From the very moment I spoke with Nikki Cooper and she introduced me to Chris Hill, my dream began to become reality. There were never false nor empty promises. I was always kept abreast of everything going on. Chris Hill and his team were always customer service oriented. I never felt that my questions were dumb and I felt as if I were a part of the team. Everyone has been supportive and encouraging and I never doubted that they were doing their best to assist me on this journey. When the refinance opportunity was presented to me, no one else could have had my complete trust and confidence than Chris Hill. I am a proud veteran and have a code of ethics which I feel that Chris Hill and his team match with their standard of principles. I listen to others tell horror stories of home buying experiences and I am very grateful and excited to be able to share my success story. Success because I am the first in my family to buy a home. I wrote a blank check to my country when I enlisted and willingly went wherever I was needed for how long I was needed without concern for myself. This team has reaffirmed that "we" are not a forgotten population. Someone is willing to stand up for us and look out for our best interests. I will never forget Christopher Hill nor his team and how they represent the people that have given so much and ask for so little in return. I will forever recommend Chris Hill, his team and Veteran's United Home Loans.
Kept in touch throughout the process.
She was there when I signed the contract on the house and that's the last time I saw her she didn't even come to closing.
such personal and helpful team of people to work with could have done this without them and don't forget Jan at the lighthouse program
She was very knowledgeable and professional.
I bought through a private seller and did not use the real estate agent. I did speak with them and they were really helpful.
