I would encourage any veteran looking to purchase a home use veterans united they are dedicated to serve veterans and know the VA system.
There are other lenders out there specifically for veterans that are much easier to work with, alot more friendly, and alot less expensive in terms of fees not to mention VU is not up to date or knowledgeable on any of your local laws or regulations and you will be doing your homework for them, for free of course. Veterans united only uses the word "veteran" as a marketing ploy to entice veterans to utilize them. I would suggest using Hero loans, homestead funding, or any local bank that is not Veterans United. Google the lawsuits they have lost and have pending still. Thanks for nothing United, yeah just united because it's a disgrace you use the term/word Veteran.

Communication wasn’t the easiest at first during the preapproval phase but once we got the preapproval, the process was generally really easy and communication became much easier!
Erinn Cline and Jeffery Howard were my team for my home buying experience with veterans united. The week of closing they both took a vacation and gave me NO other contact. Erinn did provide her cell phone number and promised me I could call if I needed any questions answered. Big mistake. When I called her she screamed at me that she was on a boat in the middle of a lake and that she was exiting to handle my issues. That I needed to have patience. It is not my fault my entire team left me hanging while they both went on vacation. I would never recommend veterans united, and I’m so thankful the process is over.
