The entire team was responsive and proactive, so the entire process was very smooth and easy! Thank you!

I started asking questions weeks before I had even started looking for houses and I was receiving help. The whole process was organized and pretty straightforward which was great as a first time buyer. Really appreciate the whole team that helped me.

As an Army Veteran, I would strongly recommend Veterans United for my fellow veterans! You will enjoy the expereince from beginning to end, they are with you every step of the way!

I had the best experience throughout; this my second home (sold my first) and the difference is night and day. I absolutely recommend Veterans United, can't beat the rate either. The entire Veterans United team is so professional in what they do, I am so grateful I chose Veterans United to establish my goal of owning a permanent home to live in! Best decision I have made in a long time, thank you Veterans United!

I think the way the system works is prone to breakdowns and overall it was chaotic, lacked organization, and I felt like we had to keep the ball rolling for ourselves. Communication between entities was terrible and we often had to let the different folks on the team know what other folks had told us. We had to submit and resubmit paperwork over and over again, and correct mistakes constantly. It took us months to get to underwriting even though our loan should have been very straightforward. We had cash in hand and were ready to put 50% down. We almost had to adjust our closing date on the day we were supposed to sign… after putting out fire after fire that our team didn’t catch. For an organization that serves a community that is full of folks who have served in combat, have service connected disabilities, and generally are pretty flexible and roll with the punches, I felt Veterans United was a really poor fit. Honestly, I still stressed that something is going to go wrong and our financing is going to fall through… even after we’ve closed.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Joshua,
I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience—it sounds like the process was incredibly frustrating and far more stressful than it should have been. Having to resubmit paperwork, deal with communication breakdowns, and push to keep the ball rolling on your own is absolutely not the level of service we aim to provide, especially to those who’ve served our country.
I can’t imagine how stressful it must have been to feel like you were constantly putting out fires, even up to the day you were supposed to sign. That’s not how buying a home should feel, and I’m so sorry we let you down. While I’m glad you were able to close, I hate that it left you feeling uncertain and still worried about your financing. You deserve to feel confident and supported throughout the process—and beyond.
If you’re open to it, I’d really like you to connect with my team so we may learn more about what happened. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve, and I want to make sure no one else feels the way you did. You can reach us directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Thank you for sharing your experience, and for trusting us with something as important as your home loan.
I would not use our realtor again; she did the absolute minimal. Reed Murray was absolutely outstanding and it was because of him that we were able to get all our questions answered and our concerns addressed in a timely manner and completed the sale. He is exceptional!!

They help me every step of the way

Exceptional service!

Great job VetU team.

Even though it is a long-drawn-out proposal until closing is complete, don't get frustrated. Veterans United keeps you informed about where everything is at and answers any questions you may have. Highly recommended. Very pleased with United Veterans and the home I was able to purchase in my retirement

A 40k loan should not of been this hard. A new truck would cost 60k to 80k. Would probably have went smoother.
There was no need for this loan to be so complicated. Sorry I just have a hard time with the difficulties that I was presented with on this transaction. In the end, it worked out.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Ty,
I’m really sorry to hear that your experience felt so complicated and frustrating. I completely understand where you’re coming from—when you're navigating something like a $40k loan, it shouldn’t feel more difficult than buying something like a truck. I wish we had made the process smoother and less stressful for you.
That said, I’m glad to hear that everything worked out in the end, though I hate that it was such a tough road to get there. If you’d be willing to share more about the challenges you faced, we’d really like to listen and see how we can do better in the future. You can reach my client advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Thanks for sticking with the process—I know it wasn’t easy, and I appreciate you trusting us with such an important step.

I did not like anything Erica dempski did she was rude demanding and very difficult and disrespectful

The entire experience with Veterans United wasn't like a loan officer and loan specialist, it felt like friends helping each other. Look, for us veterans being genuine is huge. We can sniff it out when you aren't, and the entire team was rock solid genuine. I never had hesitation about anything. We finally did it! Thanks to Nick and Spencer for being there for us, they made buying in this crazy market a lot less stressful.

Thank you all so much for the help. I called probably 50 times with new and random questions and they were always there to help almost immediately! They even sent us a package of dog treats and toys for our dogs which was awesome! They went above and beyond and we are very grateful!
