The only gripe I have is the VA loan appraiser/inspector required some fixes to the home prior to approval. The requirements were vague at best. I requested more specific details from both my realtor and lender and I was informed that there isn't the ability to speak with the inspector directly to get that information. I made the required repairs based off the report and its photos. The inspector failed the re-inspection resulting in a 1 week delay in settlement and the additional expense of a 2nd re-inspection and almost resulted in contact expiration. If it wasn't for Matt and his persistence, the sale could have fallen apart. Recommend using a different inspector or requiring this inspector to be more specific when making conditional requirements.
