I have nothing but amazing things to say about my experience working with Chris from Veterans United. I spoke to many lenders prior and none of them can compare to the excellent communication, responsiveness and wonderful customer service I received from Chris. He is knowledgeable, professional, a great human being, and will walk the Earth to get you to the closing table if he says he can. I trusted him throughout the entire process from being able to get it done, when to lock rates and I couldn't be more than happy with the end result. I didn't feel pressured into anything, I felt comfortable the entire time with how well and detailed he explained everything. He educated me on a lot of things so I could feel confident going into my first home. I couldn't be more grateful to be typing this as I'm sitting in my brand new home. THANK YOU CHRIS!!!P.S. Veterans united as a whole is great for AD and veterans of the military but to say the least the team we were assigned was horrible. Lack of communication or concern we always had to reach out to our real estate agent instead of the people in charge of our loan. When we finally closed on our house our VU team never even congratulated us until our real estate agent sent our picture to them definitely got the feeling they’re just doing a job. Loan coordinator was terrible at answering our questions and horrible communication and near impossible to get a hold of for questions and concerns.

Justin was so friendly and kind. He did an excellent job.
There was a communication problem where they added $15k of debt for me to pay off so I could meet the income requirements. I was not informed of this change until after I put in for a house I liked. And some other stuff like asking for excessive paperwork last minute because I moved MY money from one account to another, which I told them I had to do, after the extra money was added for me to pay. But other than that, they were friendly and meticulous about the process.

the only hiccup came while waiting for the appraisal. There was a delay there but I think that was on the appraiser. In the end, the lower than expected apraisal worked in our favor as it helped our negotation but my real estate agent was still unsure of the appraiser methodology and comparables.Veterans Unitied gave me the best rate that I could find as well which is important in the current market. I'm sure I will be talking to them again once rates finally start to drop.
Once the team realized this was a 1st time for me every one stepped up and guided me through the process.
