When we embarked on this journey, my dad knew what he wanted and where he wanted to go, but as an older gentleman who's been recently widowed, he wasn't sure how to move forward. My mom had always handled their financial matters, and now that she's gone, it's been up to me to make sure my dad has everything he needs. I've never navigated the homebuying process before, so it was crucial to have a great team beside us to help guide us through. We couldn't have done it without the VU team, and we are so grateful!

Appraisal and Underwriting were quick and transparent. I will always use VU because they employ excellent people that put the veteran or service member first.

It would have been beneficial for the team to communicate more effectively with me and in a timely manner as the closing date neared. I believe it would have been most helpful to require more substantial proof of eligibility early on in the home buying process since my situation was unique. Overall, I had a great experience.
