I started this journey not even thinking I was going to be approved. I decided to give it try and see what happens. I really wanted some questions answered, so I inputted my information and waited. The next day I got a call for Hana Shehadeh. She explained the process and I strarted to get all my forms filled out and the documents uploaded. A few hours later Hana called me and told me that my wife and I were preapproved. I was shocked. My wife and I had been working on fixing our credit and saving some money. Alex Bass set me up with a realtor, Liz Wandersee, who listened to what we were looking for down to the "T". The Saturday, My wife and I went to begin our search. We looked at five or six houses but one just stuck with us. We decided to put in an offer; I mean what the hell right? A couple hours later and some negotiating the offer was accepted (never thought it would happen). Allyson Walker, Hana Shehadeh, Alex Bass and Liz Wandersee made the rest of the process run VERY smooth. I was extremely impressed with not just the work but also the communication and their patience. Being a first time homebuyer, I am sure I was annoying them but I had an amazing team behind me.Thank you every one of you.Cory Clare 5/17/2024
Veterans United knows how "fussy" I can be as a client. They see to our mortage needs in
a professional manner, accurately, while serviceing many other. This recent mortage is our third experience with Veterans and we could not be more pleased.
Working with Veteran United in person I would do it all over again versus dealing with online.

Fantastic people, vary easy to work with and help in any way they could. Absolute 10/10.
I just appreciate the hard work n effort they put in to make this goal achievable for my family.
Great group of people who made this home buying journey an incredibly easy one. Thank you to all!!
Amazing amazing team from beginning to end.
We did not close on time due to a very slow appraisal process, an overly detailed loan officer interrogation. This was then followed by a lengthy underwriting process. Most to do items were responded nearly immediately on our end. Having been through the home buying process several times (Loan Depot, Bank of America, USAA, Discover, etc), this was by far the slowest one due to the lender.
Response from Veterans United
Hello Jonathan, we appreciate your feedback on this matter. Our team will be researching your appraisal process to determine what our team may do in the future to help prevent a similar closing delay. The appraisal process is managed directly by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and we agree that the home buying process can become stressful when working to overcome an unexpected delay. We also hear that the underwriting process did not meet your expectations. The mortgage process can certainly feel intrusive, but we want to reassure you that this in-depth analysis is a worthwhile step. Our Client Advocate team would love to learn more about the ways we might help improve the team for future clients. Please reach out to connect with us and provide details on your experience.
