I was nervous going forward with a mortgage given today's mortgage environment and endless horror stories. I'm very glad I found Veteran's United, it was truly almost entirely stress free. Zack Gunter was easy to talk to and knew what I needed to know to get this loan going. Was not impressed with there Cooridinator. She came back with wanting stuff I had already furnished. Slow in getting this Loan done, but was prompt in E-mail feedback.I have done VA Loans before and this was the longest process with getting a VA Loan I have ever experienced. Neede this done quicker than it was handled. Need to find a way to speed this process up. Glad this is over,Finally.
I submitted copy to our local Globe newspaper regarding the problem I had trying to re-finance my old 5-7/8% loan, with a favorable comment about Veterans United, but it was kicked back because the max. words allowed was 250-words, and I had over 550-words. I re-wrote it, but in cutting down quite a bit of copy, my praise for Veterans United is stinted; please forgive !

I am a 30 year veteran and retired from the Navy. In my time serving, I have owned many homes and purchased many years ago from the VA. I have yo say, back then. it was a major project to get a VA loan and it took several months and during that time, I was not kept informed of the progess of my loan or if I had even been approved. Kim Filger was with me very step of the way. She was professional, she kept me informed at all times, and responded to my requests in a minimal amount of time. Even when she was out of work, she stayed in contact with me. She kept my buyng agant informed as well. As an administrator that works for the VA, I will be sure to let other veterans know of Veteran's United, and more so, Kim Filger. She deserves a raise or a promotion just based on her personality and expertise alone. I have already given 3 veterans her name to contact to begin a purchase and a couple of refinancings. Great job. I would definitely use Veterans United again. I give them 10 plus out of 10.

taking practically 3 months to close is not very attractive to somene who want to refinance; this may make them go somewhere else; i was almost at that point

I want the Management Team to know that Mr. Ben Muzzey is an outstanding Loan Officer and you need to make sure that the level of outstanding customer service that he gives his customers is a standard for which your team serves all of its customers. I remember back just two months ago when my wife and I were told that we didn't qualify for our home loan by one of the Big Bank's (WF). We were so disappointed and broken. We had waited almost 3.5 months with little to no contact or communication and then we get a form letter telling us we were disqualified. I remember waking up at 2:00 AM and going on my computer and finding the Veterans United Home Loans website. I wrote down the phone number and decided hey I give them a call. I spoke with Ben about our situation and I was prepared to have him tell me he couldn't help me but, he was so compassionate and thoughtful and most importantly knowledgeable about the VA Process. When he assured me that he could help me and my wife. Hope came back into our lives again. I came from a corporate mangement background and the number one customer complaint was lack of communication. I am so impressed that Veterans United Home Loans and my Loan Officer always maintained communication throughout the process, answers all of our e-Mails and phone calls, and made us his #1 priority.
