overall experience was great and i thought the team worked hard and provided timely updates.
my only suggestion is recommending a client obtain their IRS transcripts (if needed) early on in the process and ensuring the insurance company they use provides the correct VAU address. other than that i felt like i was in good hands during this big step in my life. would recommend VAU to others.

I was nervous finding a lender for my first home purchase. I found Veterans United off Reddit saying they where good to go so I sent in my info and Jake reached out to me and made things happen, he was amazing, he explained everything to me, but he did not make it feel all like dry and robotic technical explanation, but like we were buds talking shop. Andrea is my go to woman for buying houses, we are more like friends then business associates. After working with Andrea and her team through my purchasing of three houses, and the years involved, she is so up lifting, the few times I became stressed she was there to ensure me all was going well. I had two cats that passed away due to age, she sent me a beautiful memorial with the names of my cats engraved on it, she has sent me a beautiful cutting board with my named engraved on it, I use it for looks, she has sent me T-shirts, just so thoughtful and caring through the whole process.
